Bank of Ireland Bright Ideas Finalist - compete for 100,000 Euro interest free loan

Limerick based ResourceKraft Ltd. will compete in the national final of Bank of Ireland Bright Ideas Challenge. ResourceKraft is one of four technology based SMEs which have been shortlisted for this event which has a prize of an interest free loan of 100,000 Euro. The four finalists were selected from four regional competitions held during 2009. In addition to ResourceKraft in Limerick, the South West regional winner, the other finalists are Eventovate from Mayo, RendezVu from Dublin and Sonru from Waterford.
The competition was designed to give small innovative businesses with high growth potential the opportunity to showcase their business on a unique platform, while simultaneously offering them an attractive investment package. The winner of the competition will receive assistance with their future development plans.
The BOI Bright Ideas Challenge aims to encourage and support both innovation and enterprise in business start-ups who are in the early stages of developing their business. It was developed in association with the Business Innovation Centres to offer both financial and practical business support to start-up SMEs. Finalists were selected based on their innovative and differentiated product or service and went through a robust screening process and a live presentation in front of a panel of judges and public audience led by Sean Gallagher. Each regional winner won a cash prize of 5,000 Euro from the Bank, along with a mentoring and training package valued at 5,000 Euro. The winner will receive an interest free five-year loan from the Bank of Ireland Seed and Early Stage Equity Fund, which is managed on behalf of Bank of Ireland by Kernel Capital.
